Research Opportunities

1. Postdoctoral Fellow Opening Available!

Requirements: Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. A postdoctoral position is available for a creative and highly motivated individual interested in characterization of novel and newly emerging viral pathogens.  We have identified numerous novel viruses present in diseased human specimens and now seek to define both the molecular virology and clinical relevance of these novel viruses.  A variety of experimental approaches will be utilized, including epidemiological and seroepidemiological analysis of viral prevalence and the development of both in vitro and in vivo systems for viral replication and growth.  Novel viruses under investigation currently include (but is not limited to) members of the families  Polyomaviridae, Nodaviridae, Picornaviridae, and Astroviridae. Interested individuals should send a cover letter, CV (PDF) and contact information for 3 references to:

2. Graduate student rotations.

Rotation projects are available throughout the 2015-2016 school year.
